Mission: To provide information, experiences, and a supportive community for Catholic families who choose to educate their children at home. St. Thomas Aquinas Homeschoolers of the Rochester Area has as its foundation and as the guiding principle of all its function and activities, fidelity to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.

Established in 1992 by a handful of concerned Catholic parents the group currently consists of approximately 55-60 families throughout the Diocese of Rochester.

The St. Thomas Aquinas Homeschoolers of the Rochester Area is an organization of Catholic families who hold several common goals relative to the education of their children in today's world:

  • Faith Formation - to raise their children in the Christian faith, taught in accordance with the authority that rests with the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.
  • Socialization - to train their children in the proper means of carrying on relationships within society based upon Catholic moral principals.
  • Academics - to teach their children based upon proven methods and techniques and using a syllabus that includes Christian values as a part of the subject matter.




Regular activities and events - A list of the group activities which typically occur over the span of a year depending on interest and the availability of volunteer coordinators
